T-Shirt Size Chart
What size should I get?
A very good question that we get all the time. Unfortunately, T-Shirt manufacturers have not made this easy over the last few years. Many t-shirts are made differently these days due to the popularity of the vintage style t-shirt. One of our Junk Food Tees may not fit the same as a different manufacturers t-shirt may fit. All of our 80s Tees, Rock T-Shirts, Junk Food Tees, etc fit differently. We sell t-shirts made from hundreds of different manufacturers and they all vary slightly. The following information below related to t-shirt styles and sizing will be helpful when making a size choice. The T-Shirt Size Chart below is the industry standard and most T-Shirt Manufacturers T-Shirts measure close to the chart. We will also post information on particular t-shirts that we know run small or large within the product page for that t-shirt.
Classic "Old School" vs. Vintage Slim Fit T-Shirts
One major factor to consider when choosing a t-shirt size is whether the t-shirt is a traditional Classic T-Shirt or a Vintage Slim Fit style T-Shirt. Over the last five years many t-shirt manufacturers have began to make their t-shirts with a vintage look and feel on slimmer softer t-shirts. These vintage style t-shirts became very popular when vintage rock t-shirts and 80s tees became popular. The rule of thumb is simple. If you see a t-shirt describe as vintage style or slim fit in normally runs slightly smaller than the classic t-shirts. You may want to size up.
Womens vs. Juniors T-Shirts
Several years back the fashion industry mysteriously created a new t-shirt group called the Juniors T-Shirt. It has caused confusion since day one. Let us try to clear it up for everyone. A Juniors t-shirt is a t-shirt for women. With the popularity of the Junior Baby Doll Style T-Shirts, t-shirt manufacturers began to create their womens t-shirts with a more tapered or slimmer fit. Soon the term Juniors was invented. Most of these manufacturers do not make any other type of womens t-shirts. They just make Juniors T-Shirts. In other countries all juniors t-shirts are just called Womens T-Shirts. That being said. If you are a woman looking to purchase a t-shirt of a style that you are used to purchasing, purchase the same size. If you truly feel that you do not wear the juniors style t-shirt, size up. To be safe always go up one size.
